Naturopathic Program

Doctors of Naturopathy are trained in the use of a broad array of diagnostic and therapeutic modalities based on natural and holistic principles. These are designed to support and stimulate the body's ability to heal itself. Some of these modalities include holistic nutrition, acupuncture, herbal and natural supplements, homeopathy and physical therapies. The Naturopathic doctor will provide a full 60-minute assessment and consultation leading to recommendations regarding any special testing or therapies tailored to your physical examination, personal and family history.

IGE Airborne and Food Allergy Panel

This is an extensive assay for more than 100 specific IgE blood antibodies that indicate active allergies to various foods, moulds, animal dander and other environmental allergens. This testing is indicated for those who have had anaphylactic or serious immediate reactions to unknown allergens and have not already undergone skin allergy testing.

Basic MicroNutrient Testing

This blood panel includes levels of vitamin B12, red cell folic acid, homocysteine, protein (albumin) and mercury levels.

Comprehensive Nutrient Testing

This test battery requires both blood and urine to identify specific imbalances of vitamins, nutrients and essential co-factors. This profile also provides assessment of gastrointestinal dysfunctional and detoxification impairment.

Hormone Testing

Comprehensive Hormone Testing (Female)

For women who want to confirm the health of their pituitary ovarian axis, this panel includes the hormones FSH, LH, prolactin, estrogen and progesterone. For those with signs or symptoms of pituitary or ovarian disease, these tests can be OHIP covered. Please discuss with your Physician.

Comprehensive Hormone Testing (Male)

For men who want to confirm the health of their pituitary testicular axis, this panel includes the hormones FSH, LH, prolactin and bioavailable testosterone. For those with signs or symptoms of pituitary or testicular disease, these tests can be OHIP covered. Please discuss with your Physician.

SR Program (Stress Reduction Program)

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention in a particular way in the present moment and non-judgmentally. This practice has been shown to reduce stress and its adverse health effects and to enhance life enjoyment and happiness. SR courses have been standardized over the past twenty years and incorporate training in several methods of meditation, body awareness practices and mind-body connection exercises. The OEHC program is modified to increase flexibility of access and ease of attendance. 9 weeks x 2.5 Hour Sessions.
